Tour Management Intern

On Wednesday 12th June, I had the amazing opportunity to put my event management skills to the test working as a Tour Management Intern for none other than Bon Jovi

My role included setting up, organising and managing the VIP party room for the day of Bon Jovi's show, assisting the fans and support acts and liaising with the venue staff to organise the fans between the party room and show space. Not only was this a fantastic experience for my professional development, but seeing all the happy faces made it even more worthwhile. Bon Jovi have some serious fans!

The day started at 10am and it was hard work straight through until 8.30pm when we were released into the crowd to watch Bon Jovi do their thing! It was great to see how such a grand scale event is put together and all the equipment, people and work that needs to be done to make a stadium show go off with a bang!

If you're interested in getting involved with something like this then I highly recommend checking out O2's Go Think Big. This invaluable site is dedicated to helping 'young people get a foot on the career ladder'. They certainly did that for me!

Not only did the work increase my desire to work in the live music industry but meeting Bon Jovi's Management Team proved to me that with hard work and a positive attitude this could be a real career option for me!

Interested in getting such experiences and opportunities? Start with O2 Go Think Big, hunt high and low and apply, apply, apply! I've secured so many opportunities that I never could have imagined I would be involved with. If you're serious about your career and passion, then go for it

If you have any questions about the role then please get in touch, I'm more than happy to share my experiences with others.
